Dr. Poling plants a tree at Ah Do Orphanage at a Christian Herald celebration. Two Chinese pastors can be seen to Poling's right. The orphans are gathered around them.
This photo is from the papers of Emily Susan Hartwell, who was an American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions missionary stationed in Foochow, Fukien from 1884.
