Sack catalogue description: Queen Anne walnut slipper armchair, straight seat with arched apron, finely modeled incurvate arms with scrolled terminals; golden patina. One of a few known examples in this form; few New England armchairs of this period have survived. Rhode Island or Massachusetts.
