Sack catalogue description: Chippendale mahogany ladder-back armchair, undulating pierced serpentine slats and conforming crest rail with beaded scrolled borders, the distinctive arm supports with scrolled volutes are often attributed to Joseph Short; they support nicely scooped arms with scrolled terminals, saddle seat, square legs with beaded borders; light golden color.
