Sack catalogue description: Sheraton mahogany card table, the frame is serpentine, front and sides with ringed turret corners; the front is divided with three crossbanded panels, the center oval of satinwood or birch is framed in a crossbanded mahogany rectangle, the flanking panels and side panels are finely figured satinwood or birch; the top and leaf have crossbanded inlaid edges, bulbous reeded legs, beautiful golden patina. Related to a similar Sheraton mahogany card table illustrated in American Antiques from Israel Sack Collection, vol. 8, p. 2253, pl. P5711; these two tables are closely related in form and design, came from the same source and have probably always been together. They are offered separately but would make marvelous companions.
