Sack catalogue description: Walnut scrolled mirror with finely molded rectangular frame, the backboard bears a remnant of the original label of Wayne and Biddle, successor to James Stokes. A similar looking glass, dated 1811–1822, is in the Winterthur Museum, and also retains a label on the backboard reading: "Wayne & Biddle." ----- Bibliography: Book: American Antiques from Israel Sack Collection, 10 vols.
