Sack catalogue description: Classical mahogany sofa, the back panel is finely carved and centered by a typical Salem basket with leaves and grapes in a star punch or snowflake background and bordered by spiral and acanthus-carved borders, the spiral borders are repeated in the arms and seat and terminate in delicately carved rosettes; outsplayed legs ending in acanthus brass casters, the brass mount under the basket is an effective touch.
