Sack catalogue description: Hepplewhite birch octagonal-top candlestand with original grained decoration, the top decorated with a six-pointed star in circle contained in diamond-shaped outer border, the points of the diamond with crescent decoration; the urn column is gracefully turned and supported on bowed tripod legs with spade feet. Illustrated alongside P5088: these two tables vary slightly in decoration and size, but are undoubtedly by the same maker; they will be offered for sale separately but would make excellent companions. ----- Related objects: Book: American Antiques from Israel Sack Collection, 10 vols.
