Sack catalogue description: Hepplewhite mahogany small bow-front bureau with bracket feet of Chippendale influence, original chased circular ring brasses, oval escutcheons with swivel covers; superb nut brown patina. Accompanying this bureau is an oil painting depicting the Inglis Coat of Arms, and inscribed "Captain Inglis." This armorial dates ca. 1800 and is in the original frame, bearing the family heraldry explanation on the back (dimensions 14 1/2 x 12 1/2 in.).
