Sack catalogue description: Classical mahogany lyre-back armchair, the chair is a classic model of the form usually ascribed to Duncan Phyfe with the acanthus-carved lyre, hairy paw feet and rectangular crotch veneered crest panel; the reeded arms join the reeded seat members in a scrolled flourish, attributed to Duncan Phyfe.
