Drawing depicting two separate scenes, one presented in a large rectangle and the other in a smaller circle. The main scene shows a stone wall in a park, ivy growing upon it and mushrooms, ferns and other plants growing it front of it. Trees are visibile above the wall or perhaps beyond it; a sky filled with pink clouds is seen above. The smaller scene, inset within the lower right corner of the main scene, shows a man (perhaps meant to be Horace Walpole) sitting in a chair with his back to us. He looks out a window at city buildings, his view partially obscured by a brown creeping plant hanging down over the top of the window opening; two dark-colored birds are also seen in the window, one perched and the other in flight.
