Watercolor drawing of a young woman, probably meant to represent Lady Cecilia Johnston; shown three-quarter length, turned slightly left but looking back over her shoulder to the right; reaching over and grasping a bottle of red spirits with her right hand, holding a small glass in her left hand; wearing a dress with lace sleeves, her hair up and partially covered with a hat. Two cats are seen behind her on the right, one lying on a chair and the other sitting in front of it. Woodwork is present on the wall directly behind her; through the window a winter scene is visible, with snow covering the ground, a church, and a leafless tree.
