Notes:
Stripes are cut diagonally on the sleeves and horizontally on the skirt. Unusual puffs of blue and white form the shoulder roll. Piccadils outline the waist.
Abstract:
In spite of its corsets, variety of hoops and bolsters, Italian dress is softer, looser, and more natural looking than the English. Sleeves, partlets and underskirts are interchangeable.
