Sack catalogue description: Hepplewhite mahogany serpentine-front sideboard, the graceful proportions of this sideboard are enhanced by the crotch grain ovals set in line and arrow-inlaid bands within mitered mahogany panels of the drawers and doors, the plinths dividing the sections are veneered with an exotic grain above line and bellflower-inlaid tapered legs; broken bar inlay along the top, canted corners, elongated diamond escutcheons and sawtooth inlay along the apron edge are added refinements. ----- Bibliography: Book: American Antiques from Israel Sack Collection, 10 vols.
