Sack catalogue description: Hepplewhite mahogany inlaid oval-top work or sewing table, oval hinged lift top, this form with its definitive inlays belongs to a small group found in the Baltimore area; closely related to the Gibbs example illustrated in Baltimore Furniture, pl. 26, an exhibition held at the Baltimore Museum of Art in 1947.
