Sack catalogue description: Mahogany and gilt banjo clock, the original églomisé panels are of exceptional quality and interest, the base panel depicts an allegoric rendering of the New Republic; the waist panel inscribed "A. Willard, Jr.," the clock crested by a finely sculptured carved and gilded eagle. Made for the mansion of Colonel Isaac Gardner Reed in Waldboro, Maine, inscribed "Warranted for Col Isaac G.
