Sack catalogue description: Mahogany and gilt banjo clock retaining the original églomisé glass door and waist panels, both panels deep crimson with gilt borders in white background, the door panel centered by a gilt drapery; the waist panel floral, gilt-molded borders and original acorn finial, attributed to Aaron Willard, Jr. While unsigned, the clock exhibits the identical painting to an Aaron Willard, Jr. banjo clock in Sack brochure no. 17, p. 540, pl. 1271.
