Sack catalogue description: Hepplewhite cherry tall clock crested by brass fretwork, molded waist door with bird's-eye maple front, quarter columns with Corinthian capitals repeated on hood supports; fine amber patina, imported brass spandreled dial inscribed, "Thomas Hughes, London." To our knowledge, the attractive brass fretwork is a unique feature. ----- Bibliography: Book: American Antiques from Israel Sack Collection, 10 vols.
