Sack catalogue description: Hepplewhite mahogany grandfather clock with broken arch top, crotch veneered front with fine figured grain, enameled moon phase dial bearing coat of arms of the Ryerson family and inscribed at base, "J.M.R. & C.V.W. March 2, 1806"; the rectangular panel below the door of case is removable with the illustrated history on reverse, it reads in part: "This clock was part of the wedding outfit of John M. Ryerson & Clarissa Van Winkle, who were married March 1820 – Dated Pompton Plains, N.J.
