Sack catalogue description: Hepplewhite mahogany tall clock made by Simon Willard, the original label inside the door by J. Russell, Boston, serves to place the date within the above years, the enamelled dial is inscribed; the case is of exceptional beauty enhanced by a golden color, the door is centered by a floral urn in green background with a shell motif in green background centering the base panel, made by Simon Willard. The dial is inscribed "Warranted for Mr. David Wood, Simon Willard"; the original label inside the door is engraved by J.
