Sack catalogue description: Classical mahogany leaf-carved pedestal work table bearing the label of "J. Curtis, Cabinetmaker, 153 Chamber Street, New York," this label illustrating the quality of some of Duncan Phyfe's contemporaries appears behind the lift-up writing lid covered by the hinged top; the reeded outsplayed legs terminate in brass lion paw casters.
